Sometimes called a "boat ring" for the smooth navette shape of the setting, stone-set rings with a tapered face like this were very popular in Victorian England, carrying over into the Edwardian period as well. The graduated stones create a shape with a central focal point as well as flattering finger coverage - a ring like this is a wonderful choice for an engagement ring or a wedding band - or for the efficient jewelry lover, both in one!
Very good antique condition with some wear in line with age and use, including evidence of past resizing that has left ring out of round.
